The Scholar’s Nook

I love pursuing learning;
I study all the time,
and in between the lessons
I craft a little rhyme.

My desk is always cluttered—
notes and papers everywhere;
when I am deep in research,
there are books from here to there.

It may look like a mess to you—
“How can you find a thing?”
But I know exactly where it lies
within my knowledge ring.

My methods may seem reckless,
my organization poor,
but when my desk can hold no more,
I simply use the floor.

I hold a deep respect
for wisdom in every form;
changing topics all the time—
for me, that’s just the norm.

So if your passion hides
within a well-bound book,
then you may be a kindred soul—
happy reading in your nook.

Offer whatever name you wish to be known by at the hearth today — real or imagined — we look forward to welcoming your words into the circle.
